My mission:
To make the world a better place, and choose a line of work that makes that happen. I do what I do for a living because when people have a better day at work, there is a positive ripple effect on the lives around them. And, when business is more productive, that’s good for the collective human race as well.
Group Dynamic’s mission:
Develop leaders who motivate and teams who love working together.
Our clients—you—want to be successful, motivating, and productive. DeAnne and I will continue to stand with you during this time, as it presents challenges to us all.
If we can continue to make this mission happen, we need to keep our business strong so it can stay, well, in business.
We want to stay in business, and we want to help you. So, we have created some leadership and team development programs that are specific to the current situation.
People are working from home, and teams are navigating uncharted territory. Thus, this may be a good time for personal development and training opportunities. To help you rise to the challenge, keep your people forward-looking, and stay ahead, Group Dynamic is ready to help you in the following areas:
- Team development of ground rules for working remotely.
- Leadership development at all levels.
- Customizable training packages.
Team Development
Team Norms and Ground Rules
Time: One-hour initial session and 3 half-hour, weekly follow up sessions.
Audience: Intact teams
Working remotely offers new challenges to individuals and even more so for teams. Therefore, we designed this virtual training session to help off-set some of these challenges and create ground rules for remote teams as they navigate the current working climate. The initial session will be one hour, with three half-hour, weekly follow up sessions to discuss challenges as they arise. All sessions will be virtual in Group Dynamic’s Zoom room. We will email links to the meeting room prior to each session.
Leadership Development
Leadership Development I
Time: 2-hour initial session and 3 one-hour, weekly follow up sessions.
Audience: New leaders, emerging leaders, anyone who wants to spend time examining their own one-to-one management practices
We’re making developing leaders from home easier with this assessment-based, virtual session. This session teaches best practices in one-to-one leadership and management. Participants will complete the Everything DiSC® Management assessment prior to the first session. DeAnne will email profiles directly to the participants, and they will need to print off the profile. All sessions will be virtual in Group Dynamic’s Zoom room. We will email links to the meeting room prior to each session.
Leadership Development II
Time: 2-hour initial session, and 5 one-hour, weekly follow up sessions.
Audience: Leadership Development I graduates or leaders with solid self-awareness who want to grow themselves and others in the areas of Vision, Alignment, and Execution.
Continue developing leaders from home with this assessment-based, virtual session for more experienced leaders with solid self-awareness or have completed Leadership Development I. This session dives into leadership in the areas of Crafting a Vision, Creating Alignment, and Championing Execution. Learn best practices in one-to-many leadership. Participants will complete the Everything DiSC® Work of Leaders assessment prior to the first session. DeAnne will email profiles directly to the participants, and they will need to print off the profile. All sessions will be virtual in Group Dynamic’s Zoom room. We will email links to the meeting room prior to each session.
Leadership Development III
Time: 2-hour initial session, and 7 one-hour follow up sessions.
Audience: Leaders with a serious commitment to self-development or graduates of Leadership Development I or II.
Utilizing the Everything DiSC® 363 for Leaders assessment, this assessment-based, virtual session is a full 360 report with coaching. This session is for leaders with a serious commitment to self-development. Also, leaders who completed Leadership Development I or II and want to track their leadership progress would benefit from this session. Everything DiSC 363 for Leaders includes quite a bit of administration work; however, we will take care of all administration work for you. DeAnne will email links to the assessments for leaders and raters, and Alan will conduct coaching sessions through Group Dynamic’s Zoom room. DeAnne will email completed reports to participants for them to print on their own.
Additionally, Leadership Development I, II, and III will include a follow up email series to ensure greater retention.
Existing Programs Turned Virtual
Psychology of Change
You know change is inevitable, but when major changes come along, stress and drama increase, and satisfaction and work productivity decrease. This session will help develop coping mechanisms to deal with change, starting with a deeper understanding of what happens during change. We highly recommend this program for teams, leaders, and direct reports who are navigating the change of now working from home.
Five Behaviors® Personal Development
Personal development was designed specifically to work for individuals. Though, participants do not all need to be part of the same team. Rather, participants can carry the takeaways of this program from one team to the next, enabling a culture of teamwork. Learners can benefit from this program and adopt its powerful principals, shape behaviors, and create a common language that empowers people to rewrite what it means to work together. We recommend this program for individuals on one or more teams who are working remotely while trying to stay connected with others on team projects.
Everything DiSC® Agile EQ
Agile emotional intelligence (EQ) is the ability to read the emotional and interpersonal needs of a situation and respond accordingly. Workplaces are full of complex interactions, and there’s no one-size-fits-all way to respond to them. Instead of stretching ourselves, we often get stuck in our own patterns of behavior because it’s what comes naturally and has served us well in the past. We highly recommend this session as learners discover ways to move pas their comfort zones in order to meet the demands of different situations.
DiSC Certification
Getting certified to facilitate your own DiSC training is easy.
- Firstly: attend four virtual training sessions.
- Secondly: purchase a facilitation kit.
- Thirdly: set up an EPIC sub-account.
Everything DiSC Workplace certification will empower you to train people in your organization using the power of DiSC. With the certification and an EPIC account, you can facilitate your own unlimited sessions. Group Dynamic will, of course, be available to offer guidance and support. Please contact us if you’d like more information. The next certification start date is April 24, 2020.

This week, we’re sharing Group Dynamic’s priorities in this tricky time:
Our Business.
Those are our four commitments, in that order. We encourage you to do the same. Take care of your selves, the people you serve, the world you live in, and your business.
Sally Wilke
Yes. Nice work, Alan. Great ideas for doing business the virtual way. You are definitely taking care of self and clients.
Alan Feirer
Thank you. We’re doing our best, I hope – we don’t REALLY know if we’re doing what people need. This is such uncharted territory.
Jen Hargrove
Great series of posts for the week. Enjoyed reading through them. Kudos for being a great employer to DeAnne! Lots of folks are stressing about their jobs right now.
Alan Feirer
Thanks much, Jen. We deliberated over the approach and appreciate the affirmation – thanks for stopping by for “coffee” online last week, too!
